8 things for students to do in Torquay

Torquay is a wonderful seaside town on the south coast of England, and home to stunning beaches and nearby quaint villages. But what can you do there? Here are our eight favourite things to do in Torquay: 

1 Watersports 

It would be a crime to travel to Torquay and not make the most of the range of water sports on offer. Aside from surfing and kayaking, one of the most popular water-based activities is paddleboarding. Imagine gliding through the waters on your board while you take in the breathtaking scenery and deliciously fresh sea-air: bliss!

If you’re a fan of the proclaimed ‘Queen of Crime’ then you might be interested to know that Torquay is the famed author’s birthplace! Take one of the many tours available and discover the locations and landmarks that inspired her work, as well as places she herself frequented!

5 Torre Abbey 

Spend the day at Torbay’s most historic building and learn about the monument’s ancient history, dating all the way back to 1196. The extensive grounds feature immaculate gardens, a museum, and a gallery boasting an impressive art collection.
